Shipping Delivery Changes Due to the Waterfall Effect of Covid:
Post 2020, I cannot guarantee specific delivery dates and/or times. If delivery of your artwork is time sensitive, please contact me and I'll try my best to help. This may involve an extra shipping fee for expedited post.
Please note that I'm in Australia and at present, due to Covid19, there are limited flights to and from Australia. This has resulted in longer than usual transit times for international deliveries. In light of this, I have chosen to pivot the printing of artworks to your country of origin or as nearby as possible. This will be in effect until the world begins to return to a new normal. I have made trusted, professional printmaking partners in the UK, Europe and the USA who are helping me to deliver your prints quickly and safely to you.
Not only does this help you to receive your print much sooner, it also greatly lessens the carbon foot-print which is already helping to regenerate and nurture our precious planet - signs of recovery have begun to show due to the reduction in air travel. I hope you’ll understand why I have made this choice.
Shipping within Australia will continue as normal except in the case of sudden and unexpected border restrictions, which may cause unforeseen delays with deliveries.
When your artwork is sent, you will receive a shipping notification with an estimated time of arrival. This is provided to me by the Courier delivery service. It is important to note that this is an estimate only and you should use your tracking number to receive more accurate updates and information regarding the delivery of your artworks. Sarina Diakos Art cannot take any responsibility for delays caused by Couriers and Shipping Agents.
SHIPPING UNFRAMED PRINTS
Processing time after ordering is usually around one week for prints as these are created individually. If by unforeseen circumstance your order may take longer, I'll message you with the approximate time. For rush orders please contact me and I’ll see what I can do to meet your needs.
DOMESTIC SHIPPING TIMES FOR PRINTS
Australian shipping times after posting usually take 2 – 7 business days depending on whether I use the Australia Post standard service or a courier service such as DHL or Pack & Send.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING TIMES FOR PRINTS

International shipping times after posting from Australia may vary from country to country and exact time-frames can’t be guaranteed due to possible customs delays and other local conditions.
As a general guide, shipping from Australia to most major cities in the USA and Europe usually takes 5 - 20 business days depending on whether I use a courier service such as DHL or the Australia Post standard service.
I do everything I can to ensure your order gets to you as soon as possible but once your painting, print or artwork leaves my hands, no matter how good my intentions, delivery becomes dependent on your country's postal system.
During the checkout process, and before finalising your payment, there is an opportunity for you to receive an estimated shipping cost based on your purchase. This can be found in the 'request shipping estimate' section just below where you enter your shipping address.
SHIPPING ORIGINAL PAINTINGS
The time it takes to prepare and pack original paintings for shipping is 5 business days. Small and medium-large sized paintings are sent securely wrapped and box shipped.
Very large paintings are sent detached from the frame and rolled up in a strong cardboard tube/box along with the frame and hanging wire. Your painting can be easily reassembled at your end and I can help you with this and or send you a list of recommended framers in your local area. I can discuss alternative methods if you contact me beforehand.
Insurance of an artwork is the responsibility of the buyer. I recommend that all buyers insure their artwork to cover for potential risks of loss, damage or destruction of the artwork in transit and during shipping.
GENERAL SHIPPING INFORMATION
As soon as I send your order I will advise you by email and give you the tracking details and an expected delivery date.
Buyers are responsible for shipments once they enter the postal system and I'm not responsible for delays, damage or loss during shipping, but I will work with you to try to resolve the situation.
Please check your delivery address and make sure your artwork can be delivered safely at your end. If you can't be sure of this please add the insurance option as I hold no responsibility for lost or stolen orders after delivering them to the shipping company.
AUTHORITY TO LEAVE TERMS & CONDITIONS
By giving the delivery service "Authority to Leave" your parcel will be left at your unattended premises as per your instructions.
You agree that the parcel is deemed received when left at your premises and Sarina Diakos Art and the courier service do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage which may result after. You agree to release Sarina Diakos Art against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, and expenses, including consequential losses, suffered or incurred by you or any other person as a result of this Authority to Leave.
CUSTOMS FEES & DUTIES
Shipments outside of Australia do not include charges for any additional handling, VAT, import tax/broker/customs/duty fees.
Please take these charges into account when placing an order as these are not included in the sale or shipping price and you may find yourself with unexpected costs on delivery. These fees are assessed directly by your own country and the actual cost is determined at their discretion - *UK and EU customers please be particularly aware of this.
AFTER YOUR ORDER ARRIVES

Each order, commission, and sale is handled with care and as much clarity and transparency as possible. My hope is that you'll be completely happy with your purchase. If you are not sure about something please contact me before purchasing and we can discuss any questions or concerns you may have.
Unfortunately, I cannot accept returns or exchanges for artworks and all sales are final. This is due to the fragility of paper and the delicate nature of giclee prints and original paintings which are easily damaged if not handled by a professional with expertise in artworks on arrival. Exceptions may apply on a discretionary basis. (information below).
I personally inspect and ensure the quality of every artwork before it is shipped so unless the artwork is vastly different from the description in the listing, the following will apply:
All sales are final on original artworks and I'm unable to accept returns.
All prints are created to order according to your individual chosen image, size, material and requirements, and as such, your purchase is a considered a custom order and non-returnable. Once an order has gone to print it cannot be changed or refunded.
LOSS OR DAMAGE THROUGH SHIPPING:

On rare occasions damage can occur through handling by the shipping agencies, especially on long international routes. Items can also be lost or stolen at the delivery point. If you follow all of the procedures below, you will have a much better chance of follow up action with the shipping company.
- Don't permit the courier to leave your parcel unattended if you're not there to personally receive it.
- If you can't be there to receive your order, please arrange to pick up the parcel in person from the shipping depot or an official hub..
- Before accepting and signing for the shipment, please check the outside packaging for damage.
- If there's any sign of damage either (a) refuse delivery or (b) open the package in the presence of the delivery person and check the contents in front of them.
- If the artwork inside is damaged, refuse the delivery and take photos for evidence.
- Report immediately and take the evidence and photos within 7 days to the shipping company's local office to lodge the necessary forms.
If these responsibilities are not met at your end, I will be unable to assist you.
Please be understanding when contacting me about loss or damage during transit as I have no control over the treatment of your package by the post office or the shipping service. It is just as distressing for me to know your print or painting has been damaged, lost or stolen as it is for you.
OTHER SHIPPING EVENTS:
If your order is returned to me by the postal delivery service due to you giving me an incorrect address, your refusal to pay customs fees, your refusal to accept the order or because no one was home to accept delivery, the following will apply:-
- when the postal system returns the unclaimed, unwanted or refused order, the cost of the order will be refunded less a 25% handling fee
- for orders that include free shipping, orders will be refunded less the actual cost to ship the original order
- original shipping charges are non-refundable
EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES RETURNS:
In certain circumstances and at my discretion, I may accept a return and the following conditions will apply:
Orders accepted for return or exchange are required to be shipped back within 7 days of receipt. Please notify me first within 3 days of receipt either by email or through this site. Artworks must be returned in the original condition and packaging with a copy of your receipt. I cannot provide you a refund for artwork that has been damaged in transit back to the studio due to poor packaging. After inspection to ensure all items are in perfect condition and not damaged in any way, a refund or exchange will be made. Any taxes and duties your local customs office may have charged you for the shipment when entering your country will not be reimbursed. Original shipping charges are non-refundable. For orders that include Free Shipping, orders will be refunded less the actual cost to ship the original order.
Please review your order carefully before placing it. Once an order is confirmed and paid for, I will not provide a refund unless I am unable to fulfill your order. I reserve the right to cancel or modify an order at any time due to supply issues, shipping delays, suspicion of fraud or a product becoming unavailable.
When selecting prints and paintings please note that all computer monitors will show colours a little differently and there may be a slight variation from the colours you see on your screen to the actual version. If you are in doubt, please check the colours on multiple monitors to make sure before purchasing.
